Date Calculator

Find the number of days, weeks and working days between two dates, or work out the date a certain number of days, months or working days from now. Notice periods, deadlines and leave planning, sorted.

Common uses

  • Notice period: add 30, 60 or 90 days to your resignation date to find your last working day.
  • Leave planning: count working days between two dates, including both ends.
  • Deadlines: "within 15 working days" means skipping weekends, so use working days, not days.
  • Countdowns: days left until an exam, a trip or the end of the financial year (31 March).

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I include the end date?

It depends on what you're counting. From 1 to 10 October is 9 days if you count the gaps between dates (like nights in a hotel), but 10 days if both the first and last day count (like days of leave). Tick 'Include the end date' for the second kind.

Are public holidays excluded from working days?

No. Holidays differ by state, company and bank, so the count only skips weekends. Subtract your holidays from the result, or use the date picker to check specific dates.

What happens when I add a month to 31 January?

You get 28 February (or 29 in a leap year). When the same day doesn't exist in the target month, the calculator uses that month's last day, the same convention most banks and spreadsheets use.

How do I find a date 90 days from today?

Choose 'Add or subtract', keep the from date as today, enter 90 and pick days. This is handy for notice periods, return windows and visa or document validity.
